🏦 NordFX Expert: ECB Holds, but Inflation Keeps December in Play The ECB kept rates unchanged, but this was hardly a dovish pause. 👀 🔹 Deposit rate: 2.50% 🔹 Main refinancing rate: 2.65% 🔹 Marginal lending rate: 2.90% The real message came from inflation. 🔥 The ECB warned that elevated oil and gas prices are increasing upside risks, while a larger or more persistent energy shock could push inflation even higher. At the same time, tighter financing conditions are already weighing on the economy. That leaves the ECB balancing two uncomfortable risks: persistent inflation vs weaker growth. 📌 For traders, the key takeaway is simple: today's hold does not close the door to another hike. December remains firmly in focus. And one more major development: Christine Lagarde will step down as ECB President on February 7, 2027, adding a leadership transition to an already complicated policy outlook. 👀 Watch the euro, European bond yields and energy prices. The next move may depend heavily on what happens to inflation before December. 👉 Trade global markets with NordFX: https://my.nordfx.com/en/regis... #NordFX #ECB #EURUSD #Euro #Forex #Trading #MarketAnalysis
