#EUR/USD# #currencies: #dollar regained a bit with its index up 0.4% to 106.870, beating some majors except the Swiss #franc. It firmed to 139.27 on the yen and pushed the euro and sterling to ease slightly to $1.0324 and $1.1790, with the latter ahead of the U.K Chancellor's Autumn Statement on Thursday. The dollar depreciated against the Swiss franc with warnings that its exchange rates and currency purchases would be used to tame inflation.
