The Dow closed lower on Thursday as strong job market data sparked speculation of further Federal Reserve rate hikes, leading to a surge in Treasury yields ahead of the upcoming monthly jobs report on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.1%, or 366 points, while the Nasdaq fell 0.8%, and the S&P 500 fell 0.80%.
