
Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Paper & Pulp, Railway & Bus, and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 2.50% to hit a new five-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Tokyo Fudosan which rose 5.89% or 29 points to trade at 52 at the close.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Electron Ltd. added 5.6% or 1800 points to end at 33940 and Yamaha Corp. was up 5.49% or 310 points to 5960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ANA Holdings Inc, which fell 1.94% or 49 points to trade at 2483 at the close.
Unitika Ltd. declined 1.28% or 5 points to end at 386 and KDDI Corp. was down 1.25% or 38 points to 3004.
