Nielsen Holdings Plc NLSN, -2.81% said Wednesday it is issuing $500 million of eight-year bonds and $500 million of 10-year bonds in a private offering. The audience measurement company said it is also planning to partially redeem its 5.500% senior notes due 2021 and its 5.000% senior notes that are due in 2022, using the proceeds of the offering and cash on hand. Companies have been issuing debt at record levels during the pandemic as they move to bolster liquidity positions. Shares were not active premarket, but have fallen 27% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 SPX, -2.77% has gained 3%.
