China’s digital cash payment scene moves up a notch as IDE hailing giant is testing with digital cash. It could be one of the first real world applications of the electronic version of the yuan. The government of China has begun a pilot program for digital currency a few months ago – with its initial testing limited to 4 cities. Currently, China’s $27 trillion payments industry is conquered by twin giants Ali Baba Group Holding Ltd and Tencent Holding Ltd.
