Picking up from Wall Street who closed with its best quarter since 1998, Asian shares were mostly#AsianMarket##TradeNotes# higher on the first day of the new month of July. Amongst those who saw rise were South Korea’s KOPSI (up 0.1%), Australia’s S&P ASX 200 up 0.3%, Shanghai Composite up 0.6%. Trading was closed in Hong Kong due to a holiday. A survey indicated an improvement in China’s manufacturing activity in June and pointing towards a gradual recovery in the economy that is surely but slowly as global demand for China exports are still low and manufacturers are concerned about a resurgence of Covid cases.
