Caixin China Manufacturing PMI dropped to 49.2 in August, weaker than the expectation of 50.1, from 50.3 in July. The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported that U.S. crude oil stockpiles dropped 4.045 million barrels for the week ending August 27, higher than the expected decrease of 2.833 million barrels. Later today, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release the official oil inventories for the same period, with an expected decline of 3.088 million barrels.
